Holly & Erik

Holly and Erik were married on July 19th. The girls had fun getting ready at Emory Conference Center and Hotel and the twin flower girls were beyond cute! The groomsmen made their way over the the church- St. Anthony of Padua- where they played cards and hung out until the ceremony began. Just before the ceremony, Erik opened his gift from Holly- handcuff cuff links {Erik is in law enforcement}- so cute! After the Catholic Mass, guests moved to Fernbank for a lovely evening of dinner and dancing! Holly's sophisticated pink color palette really popped- the flowers were so Summery and vibrant! Holly's wedding cake was beautiful, but Erik's three dimensional pirate ship {paying homage to his favorite football team- the Tampa Bay Buccaneers} by Caryn's Cakes was unreal! Please enjoy their slideshow and thank you so much to W. Scott Chester Photography for these stunning images! We had so much fun working with his team! See Scott's blog to see larger versions of these beautiful pics as well.

Brilliant: Cotton Wedding Gowns!

I cannot believe these gowns are made of cotton! The Cotton Bride line features gowns that are "cool, light and relaxed - much like the bride who wears them. 'The purity, airiness and ease of the fabrics we use in the collection are especially well-suited for today's modern bride,' says the designer Chris Kole. The collection boasts a range of silhouettes -from feather-light and subtly-beaded T-length gowns with gathered skirts, to breezier, less constructed pieces perfect for the increasingly popular destination and outdoor or summer wedding." The gowns are available in Georgia at House of the Bride in Augusta. Photos courtesy of Brides.com

Couple Spotlight: Kristi & Adam

Kristi and Adam are the super cute couple who won Christine Gallagher's creative wedding contest {free wedding photography for one lucky couple with the most creative vision for their wedding day} and we are so happy to be working with them as well! After a proposal at Serenbe, the couple decided on the Houston Mill House for their ceremony & reception in the Spring. Kristi says: "The quaint, rustic, and natural setting felt at home for us and we knew it was where we wanted to be married as soon as we drove up to it." See the design board Christine has put together with some of the inspiration for their earth-friendly celebration below. It will be a beautiful day!

Favorite Favor

I just love the idea of these Varsity Fried Pies as an adorable Atlanta favor! I also love the idea of using these as a snack at the end of the night- on a sweets station or passed-- maybe served with a Coke or mini Frosted Oranges! The pies are available in Apple or Peach. And if you are still craving more of your favorites from the Varsity, they can set up a catering truck serving their famous hot dogs, hamburgers and onion rings as your guests leave the party.

Joni & Karl

Joni & Karl were married and had their reception in the Imperial Ballroom at the Biltmore on July 5th. Joni chose a vibrant variation of the classic pink and green color palette with splashes of purple! Joni's attention to her wedding details was virtually unparalleled. She was sure that everything from the bridesmaids gowns, her shoes, the tables, decor and florals to the favors were color coordinated. As a result, everything was just gorgeous! I absolutely loved her amazing Kenneth Pool gown-- it had these intricate fabric swirls all over the train of the gown. These swirls were then incorporated everywhere from the stationery to the stunning cake by Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes. Speaking of the cake, Joni had a custom cake table linen made that had layers and layers of tulle which was such a fun and dramatic look! Another detail I loved was the table names. Guests were seated at tables with names such as Love, Patience, Truthfulness, Honor, Respect, Understanding....-- all of the fundamentals of a happy marriage. It was a great party and both Joni and Karl had a suprise for one another. Karl wrote the most beautiful poem for Joni and read it aloud at the reception. And Joni was sure we knew to clear out the ballroom at the end of the night so that she and Karl could have a last dance all to themselves to one of their favorite songs. So sweet! Best wishes to Joni & Karl and thank you to Christine Gallagher for these images that capture all of the beauty and details of their special day.

And we were very fortunate to have David Christensen stop by and take some beautiful pictures of the event:
